Meet The Artist
Artist Connie Ring colors her canvas with a love of the outdoors, wildlife, animals and pets, especially dogs and cats. Her fascination with the great outdoors began with exploring the mountains and meadows surrounding her grandparents' cabin near Centennial,WY.
On July 4, 2003 there was a family reunion celebrating the 100 years
anniversary of Connie's great grandfather's homestead. It is still in the
family and just acres from where her grandparent's cabin was located. ![]()
Pastel Painting, "Great Grandpa's Homestead"
Connie was a single parent of two boys for five years before meeting and
marrying Stan. She was looking for someone to take her boys fishing when
Stan's dad pointed and said that she should get "that guy" to take them
fishing. Little did she know that she would end up marrying "that guy". He
would come to help her raise two avid outdoorsmen.
Stan is a wildlife photographer. It was through his encouragement that Connie started sketching again and eventually painting. After raising her sons she went back to college and received her degree in Fine Art with an emphasis in Painting from the University of Northern Colorado. She has been honored with many awards. Her work has appeared in both national and regional juried art shows and resides in many private collections throughout the United States. Childhood fascination and her husband's continual searching for wildlife to photograph led to an ongoing study of wildlife refuges and national parks.
"To capture the personality that makes
my subjects Connie has been designing paintings and doing commissioned paintings since 1988. Her web site has been on the internet since 1999. She has been a member of the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, several women's leads groups and various art leagues. Connie also belongs to humanitarian, environmental and wildlife groups including Amnesty International Women's Action.
Connie was requested by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to donated prints and paintings in support of their
organization, and also contributed prints to assist various dog groups.

to give her as a surprise gift. In searching I came upon Connie Rings website and found the most beautiful painting I
had seen. It was of a redtailed hawk in flight and was as true to life that it made you want to just step
into the picture. Although it was already sold I contacted Connie who agreed to paint one similar in oil
for me. It was a delight to work with Connie and my wife loved the painting.
